Mods
Essentially it replaces the field ops class and adds a new class called “special ops”. This class can do everything a field ops can…and has a few tools and weapons from other classes. They will be able to pick up heavy weapons if found in the field (in-progress). The special ops carries a modded version of the trip-mine called “booby-trap”. There is a new version of the sten (MARK 3) which is the nomenclature of the updated model; it includes both skin and minor source code changes. There are a few other small improvements and changes in this mod.

Soldier (beefed up a bit)

  • Added smoke canisters to assist engineers and others with objectives
  • More ammo on the MG-42 and reduced the recoil so if they get caught carrying the MG they have a slightly better chance at killing them at close range
  • More grenades

Special Ops (formerly field ops)

  • New spawn weapons consist of: default rifle, sniper rifle, and mark 3 sten
  • New uniforms, including tool bags
  • Tools now include:
    • Airstrike marker
    • Ammo packs
    • Satchel charge
    • Booby-traps (formerly trip-mines), Qty. (3) on special ops, may add to covert ops soon (press 9 to use)
    • Medic syringe
    • Pliers

Engineer

  • Added ammo packs to help supply players, and not put this responsibility completely on special Ops

Weapons Changes

  • MARK 3 sten fires slightly faster, doesn’t overheat until the end of the clip now, and has a faster reload, and new look
  • MG42 has been modified so that when firing while standing, the screen does not get blurry (although the bullets still fire wild and the aim is difficult)
  • Booby-traps (trip-mines) are reintroduced, however the models, texture, damage, radius, spawn amount and tripping mechanism have been modded. A sound has been added when planting these traps but it is buggy at the moment.

Other Changes

  • Increased health by 10%
  • A few miscellaneous icons and graphics changes
  • True-to-form, the rank is hidden on the special ops class
  • Minor grenade qty. changes

Goal for this mod

The goal for this mod is to simply do more with the field ops and eventually the soldier classes. It would be nice to see an alternative to the traditional game-play and strategy while keeping things WWII original and realistic as possible. Finally it would be nice to see others get involved with taking this mod to a whole new level and perhaps even make it a branch of etpub.

Maps/Mods
The allied forces has to take control over the port bunker and blow the gate that leads to the main area. Axis has to defend the station building in the main area and prevent the allies from stealing the gold and the radar system. Allies has to steal the radar part and gold - and deliver to the truck in the garage, escape with the truck to win the map, axis can prevent a fast escape with constructing two truck barrieres.

The script fixes the following gameplay bug:
When an axis soldier touches the forward flag (Train Center spawn) - direct or accidently - before the allied team blown up the Port Gate, the axis team spawns at the flag and can't defended anymore the Port gate. ~Molotov

Others
ETWsk aims to reduce spawnkilling (SK) on public funservers. An SK here is if someone kills an enemy near a fix spawn point. A fix spawn point means that it can not be cleared by the enemy. E.g. on radar map, the allied Side Gate spawn is not fix as the axis can destroy the command post. However, the Main Bunker spawn is fix after the Allies have destroyed the Main Gate. ETWsk does not prevent but it detects and counts SKs for every player. If a player has caused a certain number of SKs, he gets punished (putspec, kick, ban, ...). As the detection of fix spawns is difficult especially on custom maps, little configuration work has to be done.

New with version 0.8 of ETWsk is the community site where you can download and upload spawn configurations for currently 62 maps, so you don't have to define it every time anew if someone already made a lua-module for a map.

  • two protection radius can be defined: heavy weapons and normal weapons
  • the spawn protection expires when a player hurts an enemy (can be disabled)
  • fully configurable for individual maps: fixing radius; adding actions that change
  • protected areas during the game; adding new protection areas.
  • client console commands for stats and help for configuration
  • no RunFrame() -> low server load

Axis objective: Free & escort the V.I.P.

When the V.I.P. is wounded, a medic can revive him. A medic also makes the V.I.P. run. When escorted by a field-ops, the V.I.P. will not kneel when being hit. The V.I.P. can escorted by everyone.

This mini mod was made by MajorNr01 is compatible to all known mods but looks best on jaymod with RtCW-Weapon fire rates.

General changes:

  • new sleeve and hand textures for axis and allies
  • changed some player animations
  • Allied Thompson changed completely into M16 / M4
  • Axis MP40 changend into Ak47
  • Added some kind of hand to satchel charge and medpack
  • New skin for Luger, luger and colt two handed
and a couple of other "bugfixes" or "not so good looking changes".

Some examples:

  • knife doesn't glue on the face anymore
  • sten left arm and all pistol arms got a sleeve
  • and some few changes more...

Changed sound of:

Thompson (M16 / M4), MP40 (Ak40), Colt, FG42, Garand and Garand Sniper, Knife slashs, Luger, MG42, Sten

Basically it matches the hitboxes so even though the head is much larger than the original, if you hit the side of the big head it still counts as a hit because of the hitbox size.

The mighty Axis shore battery 'Siegfried' is harassing Allied shipping in the Mediterranean. The Axis must protect Siegfried from Allied attempts at sabotage.

Changes:

  • Allies Beach Spawns outside of water
  • Bunker MG is now dynamitible door which leads to bunkers back
  • Axis Bunker Spawn is set back a bit
  • Axis Spawn at Commandpost until Allies built it
  • Backdoor is blowable
  • Spawntimes 30/20 seconds
  • Made some doors wider (bunkerstage)
  • fixed "wallhack" leak at backdoor

Am 1. September starten die Hauptligen (3on3 ET und 6on6 ET) wieder nach der Urlaubspause. Ihr könnt euch bis 28. August anmelden.

Es wird wieder Aufgeteilte Ligen geben, sotiert nach Stärke, die im FinalCup aufeinander treffen. Weiteres könnt ihr in den L4F Regeln nachlesen.
